The title “Metaphysics in Art” is used, instead of “Metaphysical Art”, while it should be named Metaphysical Art, but when one would use that as a search term in Google Search, the search result offers surrealism, not art related with metaphysics, and therefore of course not that what AI would like to make you believe, either. AI: when one googles on something, automatically, without asking for it, an AI interpretation pops up, above all what Google itself offers. AI mentions that what is also to be found via Google, so, a sort of a parrot who can parrot the loudest, and can pick cherries so fast that AI could be categorized as the world champion parrot cherry picker. And of course that parrot spreads misinformation because programmed by materialistic science trained, educated and thinking scientists, serving for much money the materialistic society’s industries and all what keeps their economic growth growing.
According to Tate: “Metaphysical Art (the translation of the Italian Pittura Metafisica) was an early twentieth century Italian art movement typified by dream-like views of eerie arcaded squares with unexpected juxtapositions of objects”
According to Wikipedia: “Metaphysical painting (Italian: pittura metafisica) or metaphysical art was a style of painting developed by the Italian artists Giorgio de Chirico and Carlo Carrà. The movement began in 1910 with de Chirico, whose dreamlike works with sharp contrasts of light and shadow often had a vaguely threatening, mysterious quality, “painting that which cannot be seen”. De Chirico, his younger brother Alberto Savinio, and Carrà formally established the school and its principles in 1917.”
Pittura metafisica is not metaphysical art, but surrealism, because real metaphysical art is all but related with dreams, or a dreamy state of being, it is realistic, but of another dimension than the physical dimension, it is meta ta fysica, after the physics, the world after the physics, a sphere of light, and the art shows that what can be seen, with the inner eyes of consciousness, but not with the physical eyes.
True “metaphysical art” shows the “beyond physical”, that what is not matter or materialism anymore, not physical, like not even water is physical in the way we can see and hear it with our physical tools: eyes and ears. The water has been transcended, as has been made visible in the painting with the title: “Aquarius“, created in 1975 by the Dutch painter Frans van den Berg, known as: Johfra. All in the painting is metaphysical. More about him and this painting on the page: Johfra. Not all Johfra’s paintings are metaphysical. The most are surrealistic.
