To keep the balance with the harsh reality of every day, I often listen to music. In my YouTube classical music channel [I have also a Greek music channel] I follow other channels, and today I found a new video, performed by Duo Aliada, with the title: I dreamed a dream of justice and equality (Drømte mig en drøm). The video starts with the deep bass notes of the accordion, followed by the much higher tones of the soprano saxophone. Both musicians, Vienna-based Serbian accordionist Bogdan Laketic (1994) and Vienna based Polish saxophonist Michał Knot (1987) are outstandingly talented musicians.

We would like to present you this “timely on” traditional song, which we decided to record as a reflection of our feelings about the current world situation. It’s the oldest Scandinavian secular song dating to approx. 1300, called “Drømte mig en drøm” – “I dreamed a dream” and it is about social issues. The video is our tribute to people who are oppressed by others, in any way.
