Attention: the from the Russian website “Komsomolskaya Pravda” copied article with Prof. Dr. Oleg A. Grigoriev, is from 2022. The at the bottom of this post added video with an interview with Oleg A. Grigoriev is originally from 2024, and was published on YT by Multerland on October 8, 2026. Though the text of the article is already four years old, the info will be even today completely new for the most.
It is high time to become deeply aware of the fact that the by the WHO adapted ICNIRP “safety” guidelines do not protect against the harmful radiation from wireless devices like cellphones, smartphones, wi-fi, Bluetooth, iPads, tablets, etc. The by the Swedish Strålskyddsstiftelsen published 5G case studies 1 show that the radiation in Stockholm, exceeds even the ICNIRP maximum levels in an unacceptable because highly alarming way, because (severe) biological effects occur already at much lower levels than the ICNIRP “safety” levels 2.
Today the world suffers from a constantly increasing 5G radiation, and independent scientists and Medical Doctors warn for even increasing morbidity related to wireless radiation.3 Children and adolescents however are much more vulnerable to wireless radiation, and need extra protection.
Prof. Dr. Oleg Grigoriev, chair of RNCNIRP, the Russian Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection, opposes the ICNIRP standards, and aligns with the ICBE-EMF, the International Commission on the Biological Effects of EMF. The complete list: EMF-links

HOW TO PROTECT YOUR CHILD FROM HARMFUL RADIATION FROM SMARTPHONES AND LAPTOPS
Doctor of Biological Sciences Oleg Grigoriev explains how to minimize the harmful effects of phones and laptops

In the program «Parental Question» on air radio «KP» presenter Maria Bachenina, columnist for the department of science and education «Komsomolskaya Pravda» Alexander Milkus and the head of the Russian National Committee for Protection against Non-Ionizing Radiation, Doctor of Biological Sciences Oleg Grigoriev we discussed how not only phones and tablets, but also routers could harm a child.
As Oleg Grigoriev said, according to the Ministry of Health and Rosstat, compared to the pre-mobile period (that is, until the 2000s), the number of brain tumors (gliomas) has quadrupled. Moreover, gliomas occupy approximately 15 percent of all childhood malignant tumors.
And many experts are certain that non-ionizing radiation is to blame for this, what what modern phones, tablets, and laptops are radiating.
KEEP THE ROUTER IN THE HALLWAY
“If you explain what an electromagnetic field is (it sounds simpler and clearer than non-ionizing radiation), then everyone who remembers the school physics course knows what it is,” he says Oleg Grigoriev. – This is a special kind of matter that is always present when an electric current flows, when there is an antenna. It is always emitted by any transmitting device. In addition, various devices such as microwave ovens emit parasitic electromagnetic fields. But the basis of radiation exposure to the population now consists, of course, of information and communication technologies, that is, wireless cellular communications and all types of wireless data delivery systems – Wi-Fi, WiMax and everything else. After 2000, cellular base stations began to determine the electromagnetic situation in the city and in the environment. And everything that is in the hands (cell phones of all formats, hand-held radio stations) began to determine the personal electromagnetic environment.
If we compare the dangers of gadgets, the expert will distribute them in this order:
- Wi-fi router.
- Everything related to the router and in your hands, that is, smartphones and tablets.
- Laptops with Wi-Fi, etc.
It is clear that in apartment buildings we are surrounded by routers on all sides. And if you go to the settings, a list of at least 20 networks will appear. So we’re just surrounded by routers.
“If the Wi-Fi point is located behind the wall, on the side of your resting place, bed or sofa where you sleep, and if the wall is relatively permeable (brick or wood), then, of course, potentially radiation from the router can be harmful,” warns Oleg Grigoriev. – If you are installing a router in your apartment, do it in a non-residential room – in the corridor, above the front door, in some nook, but definitely not near where you spend most of your time.
BAN ON CELLPHONES IN SCHOOLS
Let us remind you that a year and a half ago (on January 1, 2021), New sanitary rules came into force, according to which children are prohibited from using the telephone in schools. The use of interactive whiteboards and computers is also limited (from 20 to 30 minutes). In reality,[this Russian article is from mid 2022], there is no official ban on children using phones at school, but they are not allowed to use them to watch educational content.[linked to a Russian page: 2026 school mobile phone ban]
“It seems to me that it’s not even worth discussing whether this decision is correct or not,” says Oleg Grigoriev. – Here we are on the same wavelength with the whole world. It must be said that we are even greater democrats in relation to this situation, if we compare us with other countries – China, say, Switzerland, etc. There, telephones in schools are indeed prohibited and strict. In Switzerland, for example, the ban on cellphones/smartwatches is very strict, including even all extracurricular activities, such as hikes, various holidays, etc., that are held by schools. If the child is seen with a phone, the parents will receive a fine.
Therefore, if teachers are asked to leave their phones in their bags, this is the most correct option. Less harm, more attention to study.
WHAT TO DO AT HOME
But how to minimize the harm from gadgets at home if the child is «stuck» in them all the time ?
Buy a projector to watch the school curriculum6 on it (ideal for distance learning or home schooling). You can also connect a computer unit to the projector, or better yet, buy a portable projector; there is less radiation from it.
“When a child works with a monitor, there are many LEDs, each of them – a light source that gets into children’s eyes, and they are evolutionarily not adapted to this,” warns Oleg Grigoriev. – The light of monitors and phones is especially dangerous in the evening.
- Wired headphones.
A wired EMF-free earphone 7 will help you keep your phone less close to your head (from wireless ones it is also minimal, but the radiation is through the bluetooth). They will help control the radiation dose.
“It’s best if the gap between the phone’s antenna and the head is – 30-40 (and preferably 50) centimeters,” says the expert. – This radically reduces the intensity of the impact. And this is the most important and only rule now.
There are special programs that count the dose of electromagnetic radiation from the phone. You can download them for Android (not for iPhone) and count your daily dose. You will see that it fluctuates depending on the operating mode, networks, etc.
- Control screen time through a special program.
Phones have screen time control programs. Something like parental control, but it works all the time. And on laptops you can download a program that will interrupt work once an hour and the child, watching the floating point with his eyes, will simultaneously do mini-charging for the eyes.
Yes, yes, we know that at first this will be accompanied by an explosion of indignation. But you are parents and you are responsible for the child’s health. Agree and try to explain the seriousness of the moment.
