KalamarzOn July 3, 2019, I received an email from the European Commission’s Wojciech Kalamarz as an answer on my email to him on May 21, 2019. The email has been forwarded to Dr. Martin Pall, who I have asked to react on it. Until today I did not receive an answer. This is understandable, since Wojciech Kalamarz had the possibility to include Dr. Martin Pall eventually in the Cc, but he did not. Wojziech Kalamarz did not answer any of Dr. Martin Pall’s 12 questions to Kalamarz. Obviously it was too difficult for Wojziech Kalamarz to forward the questions to the right office: risk management. I would have appreciated it if he would have forwarded it.

Einar FlydalNote: The Norwegian scientist Einar Flydal has created a post about Dr. Martin Pall’s 12 questions: De 12 spørsmålene som avslører at strålevernet ikke funker mot 5G og annet trådløst. Einar Flydal is going to use the correspondence, published in the three articles with the title “5G * EU guidelines are fraudulent” in Multerland, in a special chapter of a new book. This book will be published in Norwegian, and is written for an exclusive group of Norwegian scientists.

Dear Mrs. Janssen,

Thank you very much for your email of 21 May 2019.

As regards Dr Pall’s statement that there has been no communication from the European Commission, please be informed that we repeatedly exchanged views with him, for example on 17 December 2017 and on 19 February 2018.

As regards Dr Pall’s reference to the opinion of the Scientific Committee of 2015 I would like to reiterate that in matters of risk assessment the European Commission solely relies on the judgment of its independent scientific bodies. As you will surely understand, we as policy makers are not in a position to provide a scientific judgement in response to the 21 questions raised by Dr Pall. It is indeed crucial to separate risk assessment from risk management.

I, however, take this opportunity to reconfirm our position that the European Commission may re-examine the situation once the guidance of the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation (ICNIRP) which is currently under review will have become available. As you know, the revised ICNIRP guidance on exposure limits for non-ionizing radiation is expected in due course.

Let me, finally, express my appreciation for your engagement in this matter which doubtlessly is of high importance for public health in Europe and which the European Commission takes very seriously.

Yours sincerely,

Head of Unit
