David Newbatt

A few years ago I found the name David Newbatt on a Camphill website. He teaches visual arts and drama. He is also an artist, a painter. His style, technique and subjects are typically anthroposophical, metaphysical and beautifully colourful.

I was and am very impressed by all paintings, especially the series The Twelve Aspects of Michael, also available in a book with the same title.

The following image is from this webpage. Each painting has its own information.

Michael with the Lance
Contrasted by: Negative criticism

Michael is directing the lance in a controlled way towards
the onslaught of dark, cold and jagged barbs,
representing negative criticism.
