Eyes: cataract

In this post I will add information about “cataract” in a list with categories, and links. Important note to start with: cataract is an eye-problem with huge consequences, and it affects people of all ages. Important is to be informed in time, to check in time. Prevention is better than cure.

1. My own experiences

When I was writing the former post about eyes, and my need to “wash” them, I did not know that I had a starting cataract. When I visited an optician last week for an eye control, to check if I maybe needed other glasses, the cataract was visible on the photo created by laser light. I saw it: as if a cloud of dust is coming from the border of the pupil, direction center, where the lens is. I was really deeply impressed and the message and the consequences went deeper and deeper inside, into my awareness of what this disease means. This process of realising took me one day. The optician obviously did not know that here is more than an operation to change the lens.

The idea of an operation was and is horrible, and I became aware of the incredible wonderful gift of seeing, and what I was going to lose….. I was sad and cried. But, then, when thinking deeper, after the shock was “absorbed” and digested, I was remembering suddenly all what I learned about alternative medicine, about reflex zone therapy, certain spots in two of the five toes on both feet that are connected with the eyes. These thoughts brought me to a more direct and more precise form of acupressure points: to “acupuncture”, also “medicinal herbs”, one special herb for the eyes, Euphrasia, Eyebright, and its healing effects. My research, to find out what exactly cataract is, to find ways to stop the cataract, eventually healing it, had started.

2. What is cataract?

A cataract is a clouding of the eye’s natural lens, which lies behind the iris and the pupil. (Click on the photo you would like to watch in a bigger size.) This clouding worsens when the process will not be stopped. Colors disappear, all becomes grey, and more and more blurry. The final phase in this process is blindness.

Cataracts are the most common cause of vision loss in people over age 40 and is the principal cause of blindness in the world. In fact, there are more cases of cataracts worldwide than there are of glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy combined, according to Prevent Blindness America (PBA).  Source

3. Alkalise!

When reading the website pages for this blog one sentence stayed in my memory: “Alkalise, alkalise, alkalise!” This word is a verb, a “doing” something. On this website is explained what it is, and how to achieve a slightly alkalised body. Also what the effects are of its contradiction: slightly acid. The website informs about cancer prevention and cancer treatment. No, cataract is not a kind of a cancer, but obviously a slightly acid body creates more bad diseases, also cataract. There are foods and factors that help to alkalise your body, create health, and…. there are foods and factors that make your body slightly acid, ill. Read all.

6. Exercise, yoga, meditation

Take a walk, if possible every day a half hour. Walking stimulates the reflex zones of the feet, the circulation of blood and lymph, the digestion of the food, the intestines, the production of urine, and detoxes the body. Also very excellent is to practise yoga, and meditation. Daily. All three help to get rid of one specific aggressive factor: stress. Stress creates a slightly acid body. Also negative emotions create a slightly acid body. Exercise, yoga and meditation create a slightly alkaline body, a healthy body.

7. Computers and cataract

a. The light of the computer  ~ One of the causes of cataract is the screen of the computer. The blue light of the computer is aggressive for the eyes, and Apple has created a night shift possibility.

b. A clock or a timer ~ When working at the computer we forget how much time we spend there, sitting. It is very healthy to take a break after one hour working at the computer. This break can be short, or longer, and there are special “timers” for it. This one for instance.

c. Distance ~ Also important is to keep distance from your computer screen. The distance between your eyes and the screen has to be at least 50 centimeter. The drawing shows also how you should sit and how your screen has to be positioned.

8. Update

In July 2018 I have visited two different opticians. The first optician was the same as one year ago, when the cataract was spotted: it was not an emergency case, but the cataract was there and I could see it on the photos that were made by special machines. The second optician had more advanced devices, and the term nanotechnology was mentioned. This is utterly advanced technology. I have experienced how it works, and I have seen the results in many details on photos. My cataract has disappeared almost totally. Only some spots are left. I have new glasses and I can see very clear again. Read the new post here
