Holistic Philosophies

.

.

One can philosophy about a leaf of a tree, about politics, about life, about everything, but as long one philosophizes from a point of view that is not coming from the top of the metaphorical pyramid, it is not a wholistic philosophy.

Dashur (Egipto). Piramide Roja de Snefru (IV Dinastia).

The pyramid is an excellent metaphor to explain differences, levels, without discriminating. All of the pyramid belongs to the Path of Knowledge, and not any detail is unnecessary. To learn to know the top of the pyramid one has to start with the base. The same with climbing a mountain: one starts at the foot of the mountain. Also the mountain is an excellent metaphor: at the foot of the mountain it is very crowded. Many people walk there, live there. The higher you climb on the mountain named life, the steeper the mountain becomes, and the lesser the mountain is crowded. Finally you walk alone. And have to climb difficult parts to go higher.

The higher one gets the better the view is on what is happening at the foot of the mountain. The views from the mountain on the landscapes around, are on all sides different. When you are more high you can explain to others why they do not agree with what you see. The one is on a complete other spot. Higher, lower, more to the South, East, North, or to the West.

Climbing  the mountain of life is a natural need of the spirit. One knows exactly when to go higher. Or to stay where one is. One needs guides, when going more up, or going on unknown paths.

In philosophy (in all kind of studies, jobs, tasks, etc.) there is the hierarchy of knowledge, insight, and this is related with the place on the mountain where the philosopher has arrived.

On the top all knowledge has found its ultimate highest and ultimate depths as well. From here, those, who’s names are attached to this page, have spoken about their views.
